This week Brendan sits down with Dr. Rai Weiss to discuss gravitational waves, developing LIGO, getting a billion dollars in science funding, dropping out of college, winning the Nobel Prize and much more! Rai is an American physicist, known for his contributions in gravitational physics and astrophysics. He was instrumental in the development of today's gravitational wave detectors and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2017 for his contributions. He has also won many other accolades such as the Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics and the Kavli Prize in Astrophysics. He is widely considered one of the greatest physicists alive today.
